How did a group of fans on a fan board damage a program?
There are numerous ex-players and coaches on here and I think to a person they would argue against that fact till their faces turned blue...

And I would like to take it a step further - the good this board does as far as connecting fans to the program through donations, ticket sales and program growth far out weighs any perceived damage you and certain other's think it might cause
$50k+ in direct donations and counting
And not a dime is going in any of the administrators or moderators pockets

Well it was "Cajun talk" none the less and did NOTHING positive for this program.
It's definitely about disagreeing with you (as evidenced by your weekly "I told you so" posts). And while I was upset with Holtz, I upped my LTAC contribution. You say I damaged the program...I say that's bull and you can't show anything that indicates the contrary. And, through it all, it was never personal. I never personally attacked you or anyone else who disagreed with me. At the first sign you might've found the proverbial nut, you started the personal attacks.

I have not offered to eat my crow yet. I was quoted in that collection. I am excited for the effort our team has put out there. The evidence so far has shown we will beat teams with inferior QB play. When we beat teams that can move the ball and finish drives against our first team, I will be ready to convert. I will eat my crow when I am convinced it's not our competition, but it's us.
I'm not saying don't speak your mind, but last year this board made our fan base look ridiculous... like the Cajuns look now. But hey... I think the Cajuns believed y'all and took Skip for granted and he made them look like fools, so GOOD WORK guys!!
FACT- In 2013 (against arguably the easiest Div 1/FBS schedule in LA Tech's history) our football team grossly underachieved and finished with a shockingly deplorable 4-8 record. Longtime, solid Tech fans actually quit coming to Tech games to watch the underperformance.
FACT- In 2014 (against a harder schedule than 2013) our football team has performed remarkably well through it's first 3 games. If we finish the regular season with an 8-4 record there will be as much praise for the coaching staff and players as there was criticism last year.
I think most people understand this. Perhaps we should all MOVE ON & ENJOY 2014 vs continuing to relive the MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT that was 2013!
We have just beaten two teams that appear to have been awful and lost to a top 10 team. We actually put more points on the board agains OU than Tennessee did. One of the teams we beat just got beat down by a pretty good Ole Miss team about as bad as we beat them. I am not saying either team was great but maybe it was because of our play. They were favored. Except for the trash scores we did as well or better against NTU as Texas and Texas played UCLA pretty close.
Hopefully our first team will prevent other teams from finishing drives. If we can't stop the other team we will probably lose so techman05 will wait until we lose before he decides we aren't any good. He only has to wait two weeks until we play Auburn.
Frankly, I couldn't care less what you say or think about me on this topic, but don't apologize one week and then do the exact same thing the next. That's disingenuous. Address the rest of the post. Why is this personal for you? How has the program been hurt? Who did the board look ridiculous to? It's well noted that you thought it was ridiculous. Who else?
As much as that "other" board likes to talk about the personal attacks that take place here, I think it's funny that, lately, those attacks have been coming from one of their own.

It is personal to me because I was made to feel like a fool last year since I wasn't part of the group who thought it was all Holtz's fault.
The program was hurt by people saying "if we don't fire him now, we will inevitably suck next year and the next and no one will join LTAC and no one will buy season tickets" and "I'm not giving one dime to the program until Holtz is fired." I've heard it said on here that LTAC and season ticket sales are indeed down this year.
The board looked ridiculous to everyone outside of Tech. Go read the CUSA boards last preseason. They were all saying Tech would not be good because we lost too much from the 2012 team. Y'all looked ridiculous to me because I was seeing an OL that was getting dominated, 2 QB's who weren't very good, and a bunch of possession receivers who couldn't stretch the field, and all y'all saw was "conservative play-calling" and "our head coach is a loser and that's why we are losing."
I'm not attacking anyone JL. I told you "good, now stfu" after you said you were happy with our performance because all I heard from you in the past 12 months was that our only option was to fire Holtz because he was the wrong hire for us. I got tired of hearing it. I should have been nicer about that.
