Any chance we see the pep band make a trip to Hattiesburg for the game? It seems like all the right ingredients will be there:
Large tech crowd should travel
We're 4-3
Rivalry game.
2:30 kick. No need for hotel rooms.

Yes, on sept 15 the BOP tweeted that they are going to be at USM. I hope in full uniforms not red polos.
If our band wore blue for our red out and can't afford blue polos for other times, how could they possibly be able to wear black?! 😉
If it is going to be the BOP and not the full band, I would rather them wear polos. The full uniform looks silly on a small pep band. They should be in blue!
Champion110, I didn't mean to imply they "should" wear polos of any sort. I much prefer uniforms. I was just noting they can't seem to afford to switch from red to blue here at the right time or ever, so why should they be able or even want to match USM's blackout?
BoP is bringing a medium sized (for us) pep band in full uniform. The same size as what went to ULL, or I think about 50-60 people.
Sorry, I went back and re-read what you said, Champion110. I agree with polos on the pep band--they just need the right color to go with the crowd--tech crowd, not USM. My comment was supposedly aimed at being able to get the color right than whether they wore uniforms or polos. Just referencing previous threads on how they can't afford to get another color and, therefore, surely they wouldn't do it for USM. That make sense? Sorry if I wasn't/am not clear.
I was just being facetious. They wore red to ULL, Blue for our Red Out, so its natural to assume they'd wear black for Southern Miss. thought it was funny.
They could wear yellow. In that way they piss of USM fans who would ask, don't they know it's black out day????
I greatly appreciate what our band does for the university with little to no money.
