Ours were too and we bought them early through Tech. People that bought well after us had better seats. I swore then that I would never buy from them again.

Went through Tech for the Indy Bowl and had horrible seats as well. I know schools give the visitors the "less than desirable" sections, but at a neutral site, a bowl location should give the teams great sections if they want them to sell a bunch of tickets. If someone knows which sections have been blocked for Tech, please post. Thanks!

It was the Indy Bowl against Northern Illinois in 2008. And I did hear that most of the prime chair backs are held by local ticket holders and bowl sponsors. I sat there with envy as I looked at all the empty prime chair backs while being packed in like sardines near the end zone with a lot of other Tech folks. I found out after the fact that my brother-in-law's company had a lot of unused tickets that I could have gotten from him for free. He is my sister's third hubby so he hadn't been in the family for very long at the time. I don't know if Tech was allocated any of the prime chair backs or not.

I do know that I will not be penny wise and pound foolish for my next bowl. In the big scheme of things, two or three hundred dollars for a pair of tickets isn't going to make or break me. Unfortunately, due to a couple of things, I am not going to be able to attend the HOD bowl this year even though I'll be in Shreveport a few days before then.
