    Re: HOD Bowl

It almost sounds like the HOD Bowl may be in the same situation as the Independence Bowl - the best seats are sold well in advance to local businesses and others who don't really care who is going to be in the bowl. But (assuming I am correct) the HOD Bowl is fine with it because it puts money into the bank. If the people who buy the tickets well in advance put butts in those seats, then fine. But if it forces schools to be allocated whatever happens to be left over, then that is just crazy for fans who actually want to attend the game. It forces the fans to either accept a less desirable seat to support the school or to buy tickets on the secondary market. I'm sure many bowls operate that way, but it is not a fan friendly way to run a bowl.

This is why I took a gamble last week and bought seats, when I bought last week there were 10 seats on row 5 section 23 and I bought all of them and all other seats in section 23 were sold, and only 2 seats in section 24 were not sold.

Pretty good chance we saw Kings full ability in the Houston game. If we still had that TK, Dixon might be a decent backup right now. Of course TK can't play right now, so, no matter.

Good grief so what? Give it to Tech and get us credit.

While I would love that turnout... you will only see that in Shreveport.
As of right now! Keep winning and they will come!

The initial post has been updated to provide all the bowl information that I could find. If there is anything any of you would like me to add, just shoot me a message.

Anyone know what this year's payout is? Last years was $1.2 million, but I read somewhere that it is $800,00 this year.

Obviously it goes without saying my comment was related to the scoreboard not the injuries. But I agree, King never really recovered and Dixon obviously blossomed. Some athletes take longer to recover. That would explain last year but you'd think King would have regained his explosiveness by now if he was going to at all. I mean he's still fast but not the dynamic, game changing fast he was in 2012.

I think you are correct but it all goes unto a pool to be distributed by conference to cover bowl team expenses
