Wait LSU signed more kids from Texas than A&M signed from Louisiana?? Serious?? Louisiana produces a lot of talent per capita, no doubt, but think about the populations of the two states for a second. A&M could win the National Title and that still might be the case. There might be more people in DFW than the entire state of Louisiana.
There is more people in the Metroplex than LA.

According to this article, LSU's second in the SEC in momentum.
Talent can hide a lot of deficiencies but it can't do it forever.
In today's Arkansas Demozette, there's an article about an assistant at UAF that's up for the assistant job at LSU. There's already been 3 assistants that left UAF this year. Two took lateral positions with other schools and the third went to the Saints. They were all making 275,000+.
But Charlie Strong had a "massive fail" this year when he did NOT sign a top flight QB on NSD. He ended up having to sign some kid from Baltimore, MD, at the last minute to kinda make it LOOK like he was successful. But all the Longhorn insiders are saying it was massive fail to not sign a premier QB.
That kid from Baltimore was committed to Florida State for a long time and Strong flipped him. He wasn't just some kid that was going to Kent State or something that he had to stoop down and offer a scholarship to so he could save face. The kid was listed as an athlete which is why you might be down on it but his dad has been around the block as a coach and is currently the offensive coordinator at Maryland so you would think he has a decent football IQ.
The reason Texas was hurting at QB for this class was Because their stud QB decommitted from UT after Harbaugh announced he was coaching at Michigan. There was a lot of hype around Michigan after that coaching hire, and that's the way it goes sometimes. It's still a highly rated class. And again this was after a mediocre year. Imagine what it looks like after a good year.
He's NOT the QB Longhorn fans wanted. In fact, he wasn't in their top 5.
Remember, we're talking about Texas, so the standards and expectations are higher. The only reason the kid from Baltimore signed with Texas is because everybody else flew the coop, leaving a huge void in this years signing class. This kid from Baltimore knew he'd likely never play a down at FSU anyway, so he flipped at the last minute to fill the big void at Texas. Fact.
By the way, Baylor signed the top QB in Texas --and maybe America-- when Jason Stidham flipped his commit from Texas Tech to Baylor back in mid December.
He is still a 4 star duel threat QB and the class came in at #12 over all. I admit though that aint worth a flip when Texas A&M signes the #1 signal caller in the class.
