From watching the demeanor of our coaching staff the one's that were carry overs seem to get along really well and enjoy each other's company. I know the mighty $ talks, but at least they seem to enjoy each other and coaching at LTU.

Coaching chemistry is very immportant for recruiting and coaching. I am hopeful that we keep this staff together as long as possible. Top to bottom this is one of our best put together staffs.

The thread went from a post on an lsu messge board to St.Greg's post saying they had hired somebody else. No other information about Juluke to lsu was in between those 7 pages. That's why I asked when you commented on what a "close call" it was.

I assumed based on 7 pages that we knew they were after him. I had no substantial evidence that they ever even called him. When I said close call, I meant from the mere prospect of him leaving. I am very glad we will have him for another season. One thing I have learned about our coach is that he knows and finds great assistants. Jaluke is proof of that.

LSU's problem is coaching. They have all the athletes any football program could ever dream of, but the vast majority of their "stars" are complete boneheads who value themselves over the team. Not so much a problem on the defensive side of the ball as offense, which Miles lords over. He's just not a good coach. I have a family full of tigger fans who have been screaming this for 4-5 years now. He's overstayed his welcome in BR and it's about to really show if he can't find a QB to pull him from the fire. 2-3 more seasons of Jennings/Harris/insert woefully inept QB here and he's toast. They're not going to put up with 8-4 every year down there.
