    Re: Baylor on the schedule

I wonder what the buy-out level is?

With the guarantee being only $500k - my guess is less than $300k

My guess is we play one game in Waco and the other two are bought out for less than the $500k

Pretty much what happened with the Clemson 2 for 1 deal wasn't it?

Its a frickin shell game. We give them a discount on the first and they buyout the promise of a homegame. Gimme a break. I won't be excited until I'm in the Joe staring at Green and Gold Baptist.

Wasn't the last 2 for 1 with A&M the one with the series beginning in Shreveport?

    Right on point -

Not even a half-way decent deal unless ALL the games are played

Odds are we play a ONE off at an A-5 school for less than $700k

Can a "no buyout" clause be put in the contract?

The last Texas A&M 2-for-1 started in College Station in 2006. A&M was supposed to play the one in Shreveport in 2009, but A&M bought out of it.

I would prefer a home and home with SMU and Houston. No money exchanged just football. I love the prospect of having Baylor here but at what cost and in what kinda bind are we putting ourselves in on blind guarantees that deep down we know won't happen?

What are the details of the Series that began in Shreveport?

McClelland commented on an series that hasn't even been announced by Tech or Baylor???
No, that was a hypothetical conversation between Baylor/McClelland, man this offseason is going to be rough, I thought with the good showing in FB, BB faring well, and SEZ completion; there'd be a little relief to the negativity but suddenly McClelland has a target on his back...

Most of the one's who KNOW what's going on have been underwhelmed at best with his management style...

Still a lot of the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing coming out of that department

He is entering his second year, so I will be interested to see where we stand come this time next year

My biggest issue is on the academic side of the equation with the support staff - especially after the near bowl fiasco

Even though the school hasn't released it, we lost our best guy to Georgia Southern for a mere $20k increase and it appears we are going CHEAP again and double task load on the existing skeleton staff...

So call it negative or whatever but it is what it is...

We paid Texas A&M $200K to come to Shreveport in 2012, and they will pay us $200K to go to College Station in 2016.

I'm not targeting McClelland. I already said this is probably good for our fans, but I'm withholding judgment because it's too early to tell exactly how this deal will work out. All I'm doing is adding some info we do know and stating what we don't know to put some perspective on the situation so everyone can decide for themselves. You decided to take the simple info I posted about Buffalo to start an argument with semantics.
