The continued confusion/blurring of Memorial Day with Veterans Day...
One is for those that served, the other is for those that GAVE ALL...

True, and one of the things I never thought about. I always seem to use all our national days to celebrate both groups.
Veterans should be thanked everyday -
THOSE THAT FELL IN SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY SHOULD BE THE ONES HONORED ON MEMORIAL DAY...

The confusion seems to get worse every year. My theory is that Veterans Day is rarely if ever part of a long weekend. Memorial Day, deservedly gets much more attention that it once did due to the long weekend and social media.
I almost posted this yesterday. I was a little embarrassed that our athletic department doesn't know the difference.
But not shocked.
Nope, especially since neither our university communications department nor our athletics department knows the difference between standard time and daylight time.

i just cut an ancient vine (~3" diameter at the base) out of some trees in my back yard. it blended in so well (the trees have similar shape/color leaves and little bunches of white flowers) that i didn't notice it there when i was trimming tree branches. i spent a week trying to figure out what that rash was on my arm until i went back out to take a closer look at those tree branches.
Technology. Supposed to be such a technologically advanced society, but even our most simplest of things can't stop not working for more than 5 seconds.

Witnessed my #1 peeve in all its glory(horror) today. It is a beautiful, sunny day in Gulf Shores. No threat of rain, being mugged, or missing a court date on this Saturday afternoon. Lady leaves her shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot full of trash from her visit to Target. The parking space blocked off for carts is less than 30 feet away.
