I have 2 season tickets but unfortunately I won't be able to attend this game. Would be more than happy to give a couple Tech fans my tickets. Or if no takers, Southern fans can obtain the tickets for the right price![]()
As I said hundredths of posts ago, no fewer than 8000 and no more than 13,000 SUers will converge on your campus as early as Friday, September 4th. The game will be a sellout and you will have to turn people away. After this game is over, your fans will post about the wonderful college football atmosphere they experienced and how Tech should attempt to schedule SU every 4 years or so!
I don't like the tailgating set-up where the home fans tailgate to themselves, while the visiting fans tailgate to themselves. I enjoy it much more when there can be a mixing up of the tailgaters in such a relaxed setting, much like we do when SU visits ULL. I wish I could find a clip of the tailgating scene when SU visited ULL in 2009. It was a sight to behold! At SU, a visiting fan can set-up and taligate anywhere he/she can find a spot. We tailgate at SU like no other place on Earth.
ThanK you BlueNGold4Life. Glad to see more Jaguars visit this forum. Your words corroborate everything I have been trying to convey to the Techsters for seven months running. I was told over the July 4th weekend that a large number (70) of charter buses was being secured for the trek to Ruston. I have since received an update to expect more trhan 100 charter buses from throughout Louisiana and Texas. If you were to read some of the earlier posts in this thread, you would get the impression that Ruston is not accustomed to having to welcome thousands of visitors within the span of a day or two. With that said, you should be on the look-out for much congestion and scarcity of goods and accomodations on your visit to this region of North Louisiana.

I see mostly red in the stands. Where were all the SU fans?
You're welcome Earle. I can believe there will be numerous buses along with all of the Jaguar fans who will be driving to the game. That Jaguar "road crowd" is no joke!!! I hope the Techsters will be prepared for the SU fans who have been awaiting the 2015 season since our last year's SWAC Championship game in Houston!!! I prefer to travel to road games via automobile but the Jaguar Nation "Bus Crew" definitely represents!!! It's amazing to see how quickly they arrive, set-up, and commence to tailgating. I guess they've been doing it for so long, they have it down to a science!!! I'm planning to arrive early because I do not like traffic congestion. I know some older folks who will be heading back to their hotel rooms immediately after the game. What are restaurant options (after the game) for them?
