Someone Has Finally Listened - Southern Univeristy Coming to Ruston in 2015

Haven't been to a Longhorns game in Austin have ya. Went to watch nlulm get trounced by Colt McCoy and Co. in McCoy's last season. A friend had an RV and we had to commit the game tickets and the RV space 6 weeks in advance. The RV lot was 4-5 blocks from the stadium and across I-35.

What's wrong with that? That's the norm for certain games and stadiums .

Nothing wrong with it, but it is quite a hike. Probably almost as far as I-20 (at least the Super 8) to JAS. They will give you a ride up the hill to the Interstate corner though.

That's to be expected from a school that doesn't have any attendance concerns.

It seems Kansas State's parking lots were not that far from the stadium. Of course their stadium is not in the middle of campus like Texas'.

The only thing I ever heard of that remotely had anything to do with attendance concerning you guys. Was that you guys have a hard time getting the upper level FBS (formerly BCS) schools to come to your campus.

Let's not act like this would be a unique situation. Not many schools would be able to provide space for 9 RVs 4 weeks out.

It was reported a few weeks ago that Tech had already allowed several more RV spots than they normally do for visitors.

I heard from a reliable source that Tech is allocating 40 RV spots in the Memorial Gym parking lot. Also that we supposedly sent SU 5k tickets and they have asked for 3k more.

I don't see why Tech couldn't set up parking in the Neilson-Carruthers lots. Those are flat and an easy walk to JAS.

Jay (Bleed Tech Blue) stated today on 97.7 that we sent Southern 500 tickets and they have since requested 500 more. He stated the obvious that 1000 tickets is a far cry from the numbers that Stat boy and others have been bumping their gums about. Sounds to me that 90% of their fans pack on to 40 motor homes.
