Kentucky plays football ??
Wilson should be the QB next year. If we bring in another 5th year guy, we will never get another HS Qb to sign again. Give Price his chance.
A week or two ago Holtz said we would go with the guys we have. Higgins, Wilson, Smith, Wudtee (assuming he signs in February)
J'Mar Smith will beat Wilson for the starting job
Doubtful. Price has the strongest most accurate arm. The kid looks like a winner and has the attitude to be a leader. Not sure if that matters as Holtz will pick a starter and I hope he will stick with him for the whole season. The worst thing would be to have 2 Qbs each week not knowing who the man is. I feel for Higgins, he should be the backup again his senior year.
I don't have much, if any, confidence in Higgins. Let's go with one of the young guys and let him develop into someone we can rely on for awhile. We may have to take some lumps for it next year, but it would be better in the long run.
A few years ago I saw a guy standing on the Tech sidelines doing the backup QB thing (holding a clipboard and/or wearing a headset), and wondered what his story was. I was a little surprised that Tarik Hakmi started in one game in 2010, didn't play in a game in 2011, and only made one appearance in 2012. Things can change from year to year so who knows who the starting QB might be next year.
Towles from Kentucky is transferring. Would have to sit 1 year
Nope- he graduated. http://wjhl.com/2015/11/29/kentucky-...from-wildcats/ I still don't look for him at TECH though.
Just keep Les away from Wudtee as the power folks in red stick want him to change his offense to a more pro style QB and/or with a spread. Les can't recruit nor develop a QB thank goodness.
