For the longest time I thought this was a gay spot because of the name. Authentic jazz bands and plenty of draft beer...pretty packed.

My favorite game of all time was when I was a student at Tech... the Independence Bowl vs Maryland. It was bittersweet at the end because we tied, but I still remember the Maryland QB talking smack about how small our defense was and how he would just run over us himself. That game was very fun. Students are missing out if they are not paying attention. This can be a big part of the college experience. Those teams from 89-92 made me a lifer.
Stayed in the Gaslamp district, close to Petco PArk. Beautiful place but I told my wife if anyone asked us for any more money we were going to go broke. In fact we had a confrontation with one on the tram going to the game. All that said beautiful place and would go back.
As far as Stadium by far the worst I have been 2.IMO.
Yeah, I expected that i wouldn't have to be a die hard student supporter to know (not saying that i forget when games are, not a chance i would forget regardless of the marketing) . For homecoming i was expecting everything in your face rather than that less than half ass marketing ploy that we saw. plus the fact that I've had to beg my housemates to go with me only because i wanna get them to watch greatness and they still wouldn't go. In fact I'm going to go all out and make that worthless pos even more worthless, I'm going to go around and make sure that there is a game day flyer on every bulletin board on campus. I'll get window paint and use my car too.
.
Saw 4 or 5 groups of Tech folks at Christmas in the Oaks tonight. No a-state fans yet.
Only ones i care about attendance wise is the Team. If they show up we will win. I don't give two #2s about the crowd. At the end of the day, people will talk about the game not the attendance. Yes i will be there so that answers that question also.
20k Tech fans will invade the Dome tomorrow night.
Attendance was 32,847. The fifth largest crowd in New Orleans Bowl history.
I'll get accused of negativity, so I won't comment on the attendance numbers. I will say that those Tech fans there did a great job all night. I thoroughly enjoyed the comradery and "into-it-ness" of our fans.
I was pretty pleased with the Tech crowd. We got into it when needed.
LaLaff fans are saying that Ark State greatly out numbered us and that we had 10K tops on our side.
I will say our fans were WAY more vocal at least heading into the game.
We had more than they did. Not even close. Their bottom side got spotty at the ends, ours was better. Their second level was maybe one row across if you moved them all down to the front, ours had a lot of people.
