A lot of students in my class were surprised today when they found out Tech is playing this weekend...
I live in New Orleans, and I love New Orleans, but I honestly don't remember seeing a homeless person in San Diego. I stayed at the team hotel though. Also didn't think the stadium was that bad. Outside the stadium was a little sketchy, but nothing compared to the area around the dome. I have lived down here for 12 years now and had Saints tickets for 5 of those years as well as worked downtown for 3 years. Besides having a car stolen in Metarie (and Baton Rouge) I haven't had any problems. Never been robbed or threatened or even really been around any violence besides the occasional fight on bourbon street. I think you went a bad route in San Diego though.
Yeah, but where was the marketing. Frick they haven't even done jack this year as far as marketing toward students. For flying f sake I'm a student and if I hadn't checked my email I wouldn't have even known when homecoming was. I drove all over campus not one thing to let people know it was homecoming. No signage at all. Good job Tech keep up the sorry as clubbing a baby seal effort.
Have we sold 4,000 yet? Getting close, last I heard.
It's good to see you youngsters bitching that the school is not posting banner, flyers and notices all over campus regarding football games. I thought you guys lived on your phones and lap tops.Us ole farts remember the days of flyers under your dorm doors and pasted all over campus and reading the Tech Talk ever Thursday to get the Tech news.
When I was at Tech, I friggin knew when they were playing!! Especially if it was a BOWL GAME IN NOLA!!!
They say this spoon feeding psychosis starts at birth. I have an idiot brother in college who wouldn't know his ass from his ear hole if there wasn't my step mother doing it for him. The best parts of college are trips like this. You didn't have to tell me or my fraternity brothers that going to NOLA for a Bowl game was a good idea.
Trips are like this sure are. My friends and I drove all night to Nashville to see our first bowl game in Murfreesboro (or however those MTSU guys spell it). The band was there, a few Tech fans (it was on TV) and about a dozen more. MickeyS14 says he froze his butt off sitting at the top of the stands because there was no room in the press box. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
