Reading this week that they're for real going to demolish Pearce, Graham, and Adams dorms. Let's just get rid of any building on campus that has character. Adams parlor used to be the place for fancy meetings, receptions, etc. i am really bummed about the circle porch going away. I think we should just go ahead and get it over with and tear down Keeny, Bogard, and Howard. Did i miss something?
Oh, and AD's chewing/chomping/smacking on their gum with mouth open half the time on national TV during an awards ceremony.
It peeves me that there are some ignorant sports announcers who are unfamiliar with Louisiana Tech football and think that "Turner" is Paul Turner's middle name and that "the-LSU-transfer" is his last name.
100% agreement. Tis a shame such historic buildings can't be saved. Especially given the architecture style likely to replace them....gag!
As for rude people chewing gum with their mouths open.....sheesh! Very prevalent among football coaches too. But, also, common courtesy and decency isn't being taught anymore. We had to be asked to move to another table while trying to dine out, teenagers noisily smacking their food... I mean LOUDLY! Funny thing, even though we didn't say anything, nor even make eye-contact, the parents of those kids got all huffy as we were moving. Guess they knew why we asked to move, yet they still will not instruct their offspring how to chew properly. It's everyone else's fault...
Hot weather, in December, when I plan to hunt in the morning.
The ugliest old building they finally decided to tear down and then replaced it with a look a like. Hale Hall was a much despised dormitory by all those I knew that had to live there. It literally stunk. It did have nice floor decorations where thousands of cigarette butts had been stomped out. I thought Adams had some charm, but honestly can't remember Pearce or Graham. I thought they were the 1950's dorms up by California. Wasn't Dudley in the same style as Adams. I see they now list Adams on the map as having classrooms . There was a cafeteria there at one time. Carson-Taylor is also 1950s ugly. I guess it's just too big to tear down. Champ967 would have probably wanted to preserve the old barracks dorm right across the street from Tolliver.
