I almost died when my wife bought a pair of blue jeans with rips in the knees for my 11 yr old girl.
My jeans generally split on the outside of the thighs before the knees tore. Mom had to buy them a couple sizes too big and just rolled up at the ankles.
Times have changed... We always wore the knees out and they looked like we had a light green (from grass strain) fuzz around the "bald spot."Originally Posted by DJDAWG
They even sold jeans with "doubled" knees - sort of like knee-pads. Then, there was the iron on knee-patch, as well.
Times haven't changed that fast. I remember giving my niece my old jeans with holes in the knees way back 25 years ago and they were "stylish" then.
