Your last sentence is flat out false. Ever been to Dawg House, Ponchatoulas, Sundown, Beau Vines, The Revelry, Portico, Log Cabin, Raw, Ronin, Roma, El Jarrito, El Toro, La Bamba, Applebee's, Chili's, Logan's, Johnny's, or Newk's? You can socialize and drink at all 18 of those places in Ruston.

where's the new Chick-Fil-A going to be located at?

It's been a while since I discussed it with the manager, but I think it was along the northside service road near Canes. Not sure though. Pretty sure construction won't begin until 2017.

Outside of Cotton, you have got to be kidding. The rest are chain restaurants... Substitute Copeland's with Ponchatoula's or Log Cabin, Five Guys with Dawg House or Cheeburger Cheeburger, and Olive Garden with Cafe Roma. There are a multitude of good restaurants in Ruston. As far as replacing Chic Fil A, McAlister's, and Jimmy John's, I'm at a loss if you are going to Monroe just to eat at those places. There are always fast food places to eat chicken or sandwiches.

Right on, Jelli. 5 Guys doesn't hold a candle to The Dawg House, and shouldn't even be offered up as something Ruston should envy.

Need more local joints that cater to local taste. My memories of Ruston are Blue Light Cafe, Rabbs, and Dawghouse. They added to the charm of Ruston, not places like Starbucks or Chili's.

First one I ate at was in South Dakota. Great service, food, and clean looking servers.

I've tried the one in WM three times. Food was average at best. Service was horrible, and the servers looked like they were gathered up between the tat/piercing shop and a late night Walmart run. They would not made the cut at Waffle House.
