I have changed my mind about James Comey. The man is a genius! By not indicting Hillary due to the lack of "intent" with ALL the evidence pointing to what should have been an indictment, he has put the Dems in a very difficult place. The guilt is obvious for even the most liberal to see. The State Department just announced that they will restart their investigation. This prolongs and intensifies the importance of the investigation along with the investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Any Dem that rushes to Hillary's defense can be swept up into the fact that this will be known for many years to come as the most crooked event ever cooked up by a political entity in the US. The Dems who figure out what a mess they are in now will try to get Hillary out of there as soon as possible because she will forever be seen as corrupt and the most unsuitable candidate ever for president. But the Dems now have to either admit that she is unacceptable as a candidate and are forced to accept known Socialist as their candidate.

PPS He is not liable since he is only recommending to not indict because intent was not established. Intent is almost impossible to prove. The AG was never going to indict. His meeting with Hillary was not under oath so anything she said there can't be seen as false testimony. If there is a suit against him, the Dems do not want get into discovery now and since James Comey is a genious matching minds with him will only dig them further into this quick sand.

Think about WWDog's theory. IMO, it make more sense than what it appeared Comey did or didn't do. As un-American as he appeared he could end up being one of the greatest ever for using a horrible system to find justice.

The FBI is a law enforcement agency. It's not their role to be judge/jury. Comey is playing politics by not recommending charges. In fact, the FBI doesn't need anyone's permission to arrest someone. Just like police officers can arrest someone they think is guilty of something. The truth is sorted out later. If someone the police has arrested is shown to be clearly not guilty, they are released or charges are dropped. Otherwise, it's up to the attorney general (or local DAs) to investigate and decide to pursue charges or not.

Hillary should have been arrested, hand-cuffed and read her Miranda rights, by the FBI. The fact Comey didn't order that shows he is just playing politics....and that he is afraid his body will be found, dead of an apparent suicide.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. This whole power grab by the US government (based on partisan politics) has caused this nation to turn against itself.

As President, Obama should be trying to pull the nation together. Instead, he is still supporting a movement based upon a lie (hands up, don't shoot), that spawned a lot of hate (I lived through Katrina, and I see what happens when the police are rendered operationally ineffective...no thank you for that kind of society). He just stated the ones protesting were "well meaning" and that you could not judge them all based on a few that said or did stupid things. YET, I do not remember any of that kind of rhetoric during the tea party protests, which were infinitely more civil than a typical black lives matter movement. I only heard the tea party was "racist" and I saw it attacked by republican and democrat alike. This is likely because the black lives matter movement causes chaos, which will lead to expanded federal power, where the tea party called for order that woould lead to limited government.

I am starting to think that Trump is just what this country needs right now. He is not part of any Washington establishment, and he will be attacked by democrats and republicans in a desperate attempt by them to retain their power.

I'm starting to believe that if Trump does win and he gets to do the things he wants, the US could be in for a long ride of prosperity. Just look at the rest of the world. It is a shamble and not likely to recover soon. The Brits have seen the light and will be OK after a few years of separation. Get rid of the boat anchor at the top and we will be dominant.
