His speech was only clueless to those who believe what the democrats are doing will work.
I think blacks are going to wake up soon. The Democrats talk the talk, but never deliver. Obama was supposed to buy their gas and pay their mortgages... has to be incredibly disappointing to see things get worse under the first black president.
The ones content with government assistance will never see the light, but the ones who truly want to better themselves and find success will wake up soon. Trump has the right message to them.

They will for the most part show up and vote for the same people that make their lives miserable. It's the Stockholm syndrome on steroids.
Now, if Trump would show up at a BLM gathering and say (in a black southern accent to sound even more fake) "I don't feel noways tired"! Wait, that stunt has already been pulled, and virtually nobody was insulted. Go figure.
The most amazing part of Trump asking for the black vote is that they (the sheeple) were offended. Not only can you not have open dialogue with these haters, you can't ask for their vote. Hillary fails to speak proper ebonics and gets a pass.
Trump only has only 1% of the black vote. You don't get numbers that low without really trying.

I see. Black folks hate Trump because he questioned Obama's citizenship. I haven't seen a single anti-Trump interview with a black person who mentioned what a racist Trump is for the birther thing.
