I guess in November we'll see how many voters he's lost. I still can't believe this guy is the Republican Party candidate.

Trump has never had a chance to win this. She rope-a-doped the Republicans just as Edwin Edward did with David Duke.

I guess we will see. I think you are wrong- "thank goodness". I am very surprised at any Christian that doesn't understand people can change over the course of 11 years, and will support candidates that believe abortion (murder) is OK. I will never understand the hypocrisy. You and others like you are responsible for Edwards in LA, and the same foolishness may give us Hillary. I pray God will have mercy on our country- we do so need it.

I know Carly wishes she could back the bus up- she has gotten slammed and will never have a political career. Many of these will not pull the lever for Hillary though. We will see election day- I think these people will be backing off shortly because American's overwhelmingly don't care. They would rather Trump than a criminal that allowed our people to die. The choice is ugly, but Trump is the best choice every single time.

My observation of it: the same way other Christians that claim to hate abortion because it's murder is okay with it (murder) in every other context.

Every other context? I'm not sure that's an accurate statement.

Trump never claimed to change. This is the guy who says he's never even asked God for forgiveness. In fact, yesterday we heard his first ever apology. So, on that one, you're wrong. On the second point, you're also wrong. I'll not be pulling the lever for someone who believes abortion is ok (just as Trump has for most of his life). You are continuing to push the false dichotomy that is designed to keep principled people (of which I'm sure you are) voting for whoever the party brass puts in front of them despite the candidates lack of principles. That's not hypocrisy.

You blame "people like me" for Vitter. That's convenient, but couldn't you just as easily blame the state republicans that decided to split the vote 3 ways. Edwards won by 12 points because the GOP wouldn't get that stuff together and put forth 2 candidates that were bumbling and one with the most baggage since Edwin Edwards. Don't look now, they are about to do the same thing with Vitter's senate seat.

Hillary won this thing the DAY that Trump "won" the nomination. The republicans have been played like a fiddle by their arch nemesis. Who do you think organized the media to give Trump all that coverage? They all but sealed the nomination for him. Why? Because he's the most flawed major party candidate in my lifetime and they KNEW they could beat him. You don't have to do oppo research on Trump...he feeds you the stuff directly. You may think there's something honorable about sticking with a non-conservative vulgarian just because his name isn't Hillary, but I disagree. If conservatism has a future in the republican party, they better distance themselves from Trump as fast as possible.

We can't sell our soul for a W (and a W is out the window anyway). Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war. This battle is lost...the question is whether or not we'll learn from it. The republican party will do one of two things: embrace Trump and go down with him or reject him and put forth values driven conservatives. If we're the party of Trump, I'm out.

So yes, thank goodness many are distancing themselves from this albatross.

    Re: Conspiracy?

John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton were , in my OPINION two of the better Presidents of the last 9 (RR being the best)- in general terms, especially economy, while being morally weakest.
Jimmy Carter was the most moral President, but the weakest President of the nine.

(I've experienced all of 'em since Truman)

Politics ain't "religion" to most people.

I am sickened by seeing and hearing the "bus tape." However, I am of the OPINION that an H.C. Presidency will sink the USA. Trump would likely(hopefully) do all humanly possible to right the ship, if there is enough left to salvage.

(I'm glad my faith is in the Lord and not man.)

I'm done with false dichotomies. Both are laden with sin and I don't have to vote for either one. I am utterly convinced that the only way for conservatism to flourish is for conservatives to reject BOTH of these big government power grabbers.
