I think the way he handled the recognition of the WAC Champ teams a few weeks ago cemented this promotion for him. If I was told correctly, that was all his idea and execution. I know when I called him early in the day on game day, he was showing them all around DAC. Solomon is an asset to the University and I wish him well in his position. In other news, I'm looking for a new contact in the ticket office... I was told Emily is the next best person to talk to in the Aspire office. I have always hated dealing with our people in the Ticket Office. The Aspire Group people are much better to work with in my opinion.

I've always made a point to only buy from Solomon because of how proud I was for his service during my time at Tech.

I admit it. I will leave early if it is a blowout and I if I have to travel back to Houston. Probably shouldn't. I missed the last four combined TDs last night. The onside kick return would have been worth the wait.

It is more insidious than that. In BR you are pounded on a daily basis by LSU propaganda from every media source. And they start in the crib with the programming. But the Dawgs down keep trying to chip away a little at a time.

When I lived in Baton Rouge -- and I basically lived on campus -- I found it was pretty easy to avoid LSU if you wanted to. Sure, the community really supports the Tigers. But it's a big city. It's not some small college town. I didn't have any problems living in Baton Rouge and feeling overwhelmed by LSU propaganda -- and I worked for the major print media entity in the city.

It's everywhere in Louisiana. Every single small town, village, or city...LSU everywhere. I've seen people with no connection cheer for LSU. I've seen kids indoctrinated into purple and gold from early on from parents who have never set foot on a college campus or worse from parents who went to other state colleges. I've seen elementary schools send home purple folders with LSU on them. Elementary schools that hang up LSU posters in the hallways. Teachers talk about LSU. Coaches praise LSU. It is enough to remind me of the movie They Live.

My wife spreads the Tech propaganda to her 1st grade students and I am proud. We always get Tech mugs, tshirts, etc when they get her gifts. I would like to set up a time for some of the student athletes to come read to her students or come to field day or something like that. Would anyone have any idea who to contact about doing something like that?

My daughter had TWO Louisiana Tech teachers in her elementary school, Hedgecoxe Elementary, here in Plano. They are also loud and proud of their school. They pump up Tech big time during college week, displaying Tech flags other paraphernalia.

The last pic is the Tech table at Plano Sr this past spring.

Have dealt with him several times and he is really good--- I keep season tickets for Football and Basketball--he called and asked If I would support Baseball -- I said sure--sent a donation and he sent me a season pass card. first time anyone reached out about baseball
