HAHA! I'm sure our friend Scott will appreciate that post. LOL!

You bring up a good point. This team lost a "nasty edge" when Kenneth Dixon graduated. As far as I can tell, nobody has filled that void. We seriously need to recruit a few linemen that don't like PEOPLE!! (e.g, Fred Dean)

When Gary Crowton replaced Peace, imo. There's something about a finesse, passing offense that makes them lazy, imo. Maybe lazy is a bad word... maybe they work harder on pass protection than bulldozing?

Dugas has a nasty streak. He just isn't too smart about it sometimes.

Some of those Crowton teams were nasty. We got in our share of shoving matches, and even a brawl or two (I guess the 1999 thing at ULL was JB3's team).

But you might ask Auburn's kicker about post-Peace nastiness.

Did you not see Carlos Henderson sucking wind on the sidelines against WKU? This late in the season that is.... Yea S&C.

So wait, Dixon's attitude was good for the team? I thought unsportsmanlike conduct was a major concern with him in the game? Now we want our guys to be nasty? I'm so confused. Not looking at you HD, just a general observation.

Our S&C coach could walk tomorrow with 5 job offers at FBS schools - probably all of them in the Power 5. The rate the Tech sends players to NFL camps for a G5 school is nearly amazing....especially with our budget. Our players that get pro day looks score at or above the P5 players.

we have an odd problem at Tech....we have top tier players that could play at most P5 schools.....then we have players that would have a tough time cracking into the starting lineup at a FCS school.

Our power players are called on to do way more than a normal college player would. And you can see our players simply winded and whipped on the sidelines.

2016 proved that we lacked size, speed and athleticism on our lines.....and that really hurt us in some games. That said, Holtz has our team looking more and more like a FBS P5 team than a G5 team.....we are starting to pass the eyeball test.

Give us a quarterback, DBs that are a step quicker and a little bit bigger players at the line and we are looking at a very nice 2017 season. Any young man that plays on the O or D line and want immediate playing time in a winning program....come to LaTech.....and those players need to be nasty and mean.

I see this a lot here...

There is a line between being aggressive (nasty!) and being stupid! Dixon, and some others, crossed over into being stupid with silly jawing and/or extracurricular activity AFTER the play was over. That's what some of us are talking about.

Hester has turned town over a dozen offers in the past two years. He may be approaching...or surpassed...two dozen.

Ha! You talking about when he took a zero yard pass, reversed all the way across the field, and took it 75 yards on the first play of the game? Yeah you'd be sucking wind too.

But yet we were able to go toe to toe with Arkansas in the 1st game of the year and get blown off the line by much weaker opponents at the end of the year. I guess we should feel privileged to have a guy who is so in demand. So if he has all of these great offers why is he still here?

Deer, ducks, turkey, white perch, bass, and Skip Holtz...in that order. No, I'm not kidding.

We are in the top 50 with most players in the NFL. Only three Go5 schools have more; Boise St, UCONN, & Cincinnati. And Cincinnati only has one more than us. We have the exact same number of guys in the NFL as Baylor, Washington, GA Tech, VA Tech, Miss St and others.

In comparison , Louisiana-Lafayette has 3 and is on par with The University of Regina (Saskatchewan) and Saginaw Valley St.
