Looking at that last TD again, that was more than a pick. It was an out and out block beyond the line of scrimmage. And since the ball was thrown beyond the line of scrimmage it should have been an offensive penalty. It was obvious.

Having said that, Clemson wore down the Bama defense and was able to make the big plays because of that.

Was it a block or "accidental" contact? A lot of no calls in this game, I rather enjoyed it that way too!

Apparently Watson even admitted that was what they were going for.

The Bama DB "picked" was not the one who was covering Renfrow. The guy covering Renfrow was not touched, but did have to go over the top of the "collision." I don't think there was any foul on that play. Obviously, the zebras agreed, and that all that matters now.

The Bama DB almost TACKLED the outside (blocking) receiver on the slant. There's no way you can make that call without calling holding on the Bama defender. Hence the no call.

Bama had to know that play might be coming. It seems like the DB's could've planned to switch men like you do in BB.

If I was Saban I would think about moving Hurts to RB or WR. I'm not sure he is going to develop sufficiently as a passer. He had two miserable games.

Clemson deserves the win I guess but the game winning play was illegal

Amazing that people listen to these talking heads like they know WTH they are talking about.

Higgins had a miserable season in 2013, and look how he turned out. I don't think I'd give up on the kid just yet, especially given how Bama's offense has been centered on a strong running game for years.

IMO, there were many good "no calls" in the game. They let the athletes determine the outcome.

Great game. I believe the better team won. As some of y'all predicted the difference was in the quarterbacks. But the young Bama QB played ok under such pressure. A very fitting national championship game.

I bet some bad NFL team is licking its chops to draft Watson. Great player and evidently very smart, graduating in three years.
