Rice is ahead of uab, be nice if we could knock them off and uab could move up to the other side of the bracket with mtsu. Looks like Marshall will likely be on our side of the bracket, not sure if that is better than uab or not. A tight race from 3-7 in cusa standings.

I think we want to avoid UAB at all cost.
Marshal is a terrible road team - they lost pretty much to everybody on the road.
It will be great if MTSU, UAB, and UTEP are on the same bracket.
Our team should be good enough to beat anyone else on neutral court.

I hope so, but the future seems to throw obstacles in your path and there will be one for this team as well. Success will be measured on how they handle it.

Agreed. If you'd have told most LA Tech fans at the beginning of mens BB season that our Dawgs would finish the 2016-17 CUSA regular season in sole possession of 2nd place, with only 3 CUSA losses for the whole year, I'm sure most of our fans would have been ecstatic.

But as we've learned from the past, the only thing that really counts in mens college basketball is how you play in the conference tournament. If you win it, you're in the big dance. If not, you're likely going home.

First the loss of Pemberton during his senior yr - they were expecting him to contribute in a reserve role

Second - Quidar, who was the vocal leader on this team and a starter

Take into account the defections after the end of last year and I think this team has shown its mental mettle...

I just hope everyone took care of business in the classroom

We are due a conference tournament championship.....and I think we have the players to make the run this year.
