Baseball. LA Tech Falls in Series Opener to Charlotte

5 losses in a row now. I feel fairly confident we win at least one tomorrow just because its a double header. It's sad that ALL momentum and excitement surrounding this years team has disappeared. This could have been the year that followed up on the success of last year and started something special in Ruston.

Nobody expected two of our weekend starters to struggle. Really all three have. Being forced to make changes to the rotation at the beginning of conference play is tough. Lose one and we can adjust. Lose two and it is Much tougher. The 3rd guy needs to be solid and he hasn't. At this point, I just want strikes.

If I'm not at the game I'm listening. Never quit being a fan. I don't think it's a stretch to say that being swept at home by your biggest rival in CUSA then losing to a sub 200 RPI Southland team is going to negatively affect attendance/excitement around the 2017 baseball team. I hope the ship gets righted and we go on a tear the rest of the season.
Of course you are correct. I've always said, regardless of the sport, if you put on a show that people want to see, they'll show up in big numbers. And you won't have to beg 'em to be there. But if you play terrible consistently, your fans will find something better to do with their time.
Either way, the team's current woes are not the fault of the fans, as hambone suggested in post #3.
