Then...improve our LEGAL immigration system reducing the ridiculous red tape and making it easier...EASIER, mind you...for people to come here on temporary work visas, and to legally immigrate here, etc... then we won't have people left to die in a truck in San Antonio. Now, that's REAL humanity. (not to mention the thousands who die each year, trying to get to our southern border, and don't even make it that far).

Gosh, what a horrid proposal by the heartless Trump administration. I want people allowed in that don't speak English and, having no skills to work or support themselves, will be an extra special burden on taxpayers who are already 19 trillion dollars in debt.

And don't even go with the Statue of Liberty argument like the CNN idiot did. When the Statue of Liberty was adorned with the "tired and poor" verbiage: we didn't have welfare, food stamps, Obamacare or anything like that; we were newly industrialized yet still heavily agricultural where we needed a lot of unskilled and skilled labor; and arriving here with no intention of learning English or working was a direct and quick path to starvation. What we offered was the "LIBERTY" to worship as they desired and to become whatever they wanted, not to suck the life out of the American taxpayer and be given free everything.

I suggest reading the requirements to becoming a Canadian immigrant to see what needs to be done in a welfare society without destroying the economy/country.
