What if...
This is all designed to get comprehensive immigration reform passed, including funding for border protection. In 6 months congress should be capable of creating a bill with some protections for some illegals AND providing funding for a wall and other security.

The art of the deal is to go in with extreme demands and then negotiate to where you wanted to be all the time. I don't think Trump wants to deport people to countries where they have never lived, but congress needs to handle this constitutionally. This looks like a brilliant move on his part.

Democrats govern poorly and republicans seem incapable of governing at all. This should shake that up.

Identify the problem and fix it. The problem then and possibly now is the porous border allowing illegals to come in for free stuff. I understand what you are saying, but w/out border control, it's like this story of one of the old techniques used to check mental stability...water running from a faucet onto the floor of a room. Give a person a mop and a bucket to mop up the water. If they don't turn off the faucet before beginning to mop, it only gets wetter.

DACA is illegal. Trump handed it off to congress to fix. If it goes away it is on congress.

What Sheriff Arpaio did (repeatedly) was illegal, but that didn't seem to concern Trump. Excuse me if the claim that this was done to address an issue with "legality" sounds disingenuous.

Great comparison...NOT. I've already told you why Trump is doing this. He was asked to by several governors. I realize saying he hates Mexicans has more spice, but it's not true.
