More I look at the individual match-ups between these two teams the more I like our chances of making a go of this one...especially with our star db covering that tight end and their star receiver being out. We contain their qb and we got this thing.

- La. Tech has “good team speed overall,” Muschamp said. “They’ll be well-coached. They were right there with Mississippi State. … They had a couple of things go against them and the game got away.”

The only reason we're not in this game for 4 qtrs with a chance to win is (1)we do not take care of the ball and gift them easy points; and (2)we allow over 200 rushing yards. My guess is they will desire to run it on us at will controlling the TOP and wearing down our defense. If we stop the run or at least contain the run and force them into 3rd and medium situations and protect the football when we are in possession - I like our chances to make this a game.
Historically we have not played particularly well against SEC teams on the road. We need to play well. To me this game is not about talent or depth its about execution.

*Most* of the data could be found elsewhere. What was unique was the data for defunct and smaller teams. I'm glad I scraped the site for all the relevant teams back when I was starting my Elo project and the site was still up. Good luck finding data on the Carlisle Indians, one of the greatest football teams of all time.
Most of the SC fans are more worried about attendance than they are the game. Well, actually, that makes sense, since attendance is the role of fans. It's what fans control: show up or don't. Okay. But, usually on fan boards there is a lot of discussion about the game, the teams, etc... The consensus among Cock fans is SC better donkey-stomp little ole La Tech or it's the end of the world!!!! Nothing to see here. Win big or fire Muschamp!
