The dreamer issue should never happen again. I understand that dems are not great at problem solving (they destroyed the health care system to take care of the 15% that did not have insurance instead of just fixing the 15%), but I have a hard time believing they do not see the stupidity of their position here.Originally Posted by Guisslapp

And again, a "clean" bill does not have to be limited to a single issue. Well, perhaps in the case of limited-intelligent libtards, they can only handle ONE issue at a time. The "clean" bill Trump was referring to, and he never waivered from it, was VERY clearly: 1) give me the wall, and 2) compose legislation to deal with the dreamers. Even then, Trump has made it clear it will still depend on the language of DACA portion of the bill, whether he will sign it. But he has implied he's fairly flexible on the details, so chances are, given the wall, he will sign the bill designed to protect the dreamers.
Sorry, goosey, if juggling a two-part issue is too complicated for you. But, we have adults in charge of the federal guvmint now, and they don't have time to explain to people like you 'why the sky is blue.'

Helping these people out should be a simple bipartisan issue. All the conditions Trump wants to put on it is what makes it “political”.
No, it makes it good for America. We are not running a charitable organization here. We are very generous and charitable, but that is not our main goal. Read the Constitution.
A person of good moral fiber would not support eviction of these people that were brought here of no fault of their own, have lived here and know this place as their home, have clean criminal records and went to school and have a job and pay taxes. Imagine if someone came and told you at this point in your life that you had to leave because of something that happened to you when you were a child. Just stop and imagine that for a second.
Doing that to someone is NEVER good for America.
And a person with a heart would also want to avoid this from happening in the future and do everything they could to stop it. You can only watch so many animals being put down before your focus turns to fixing living ones so you don't have to keep killing them.
To do one without the other is just stupid. Or political (maybe they see more and more votes there, and this is alll demagoguery....it is).

Yep. Let's throw some border security in there and fix some of the other issues like chain migration and give them a path to citizenship. If they really CARE they need to be willing to do this.
Unless of course you support the guy that stabbed the person in the neck 7 times or the guy that shot that girl on the pier. See, compassion would make you want to protect them too. Gotta secure the border.
