Was watching CNBC this morning, live from Davos, and they had some British CEO on. He said this is the happiest, most optimistic he has seen the conference since 2006. The CNBC hostette, said, oh, you mean dating back to President Bush, pre-Obama? The Brit starts, yes, the world is feeling great again, when the US economy is doing well the whole world does well...then he stops, and says, well, I'm not getting into American politics here. The CNBC hostette says, well it was obvious you skipped the Obama years. The Brit says, yeah well, facts are facts, and he proceeds to list some of the facts, such as obummer is the ONLY POTUS in history not to have at least one year of 3% GDP growth. And now 2018 is looking like it will top 5%.

    The world knows the truth.

    Trump in 2020!!!!!!!!!!

So, can we assume his real approval rating is over 50%? Since polls are skewed left.

OK, I wish Trump would stop pointing out the rise in the stock market indices. The stock market is a very inefficient vehicle on which to judge the success of your economic policies, and it is likely overheating right now and ready for a significant correction. The rise is based on pure speculation and there are so many things that could cause it to come crashing down (North Korea, dems taking control of either house of congress, normalizing interest rates, the swamp (Mueller), and on and on.

He needs to point to GDP and employment as indications of the success of his economic policies and reduction of silly regulations.

The same media that is ignoring the market on the way up will be hyperventilating about it on the way down.

CNN? this was CBS.. not FOX, Breibart, Infowars.. Would you accept a poll from FOX if they said 95% approved of speech?

ETA: 48% is people who had very positive opinion.. another 20+% was positive.. so over 60% of CNN poll responders had positive view of speech. BTW 48% was exactly the same percentage as Obama and GWB had at their SOTU speech during mid term election years. CNN commentators are shocked by the poll and are telling viewers to not put too much weight in it because it doesn't support their network anti-Trump narrative.

Again.. you are being disingenuous and not truthful.

    There's the important poll:
Voters Think Trump More Likely to Achieve Speech Goals Than Most Presidents

I wish my old friend Scott Collis was here for this speech last night. He started this thread and had more insight than I gave him credit for. Love you brother #dawgs4life

Maybe you missed this fact from the CBS article.

“In the latest CBS national poll released earlier this month, 24 percent of Americans identified themselves as Republicans. Among those who watched tonight's address, that percentage was 42 percent, bolstering the overall approval of the address. “

Also, the CBS poll was entirely binary - you either approve or disapprove the entire speech. No “in betweens”.
