A date that will live in infamy for the Democrat Party, as well as the date that will forever be remembered as the day that President Donald J. Trump successfully destroyed the deep state, Washington DC establishment. Our nation has never experienced anything like what we're all about to witness. Pray for the peaceful transition of power as control of our nation is finally wrested from that DC establishment and put back into the hands of the people of this country. I thank God for what I believe is his divine intervention in saving our nation from those that would have destroyed it.

Summary: FBI/DOJ pursued surveillance warrant (and renewals) on Carter Page in FISA court and it relied, at least in part, on the “Steele Dossier” without revealing the fact the FBI/DOJ knew that the dossier was funded, at least in part, by the Clinton campaign.

Obvious omitted facts include all the other evidence that FBI/DOJ had on Carter Page supporting the application for surveillance warrant.

It may not be all it was projected as, but it still should give us pause to think about how easily things get leaked and how easily false claims are promoted and believed. This needs to be taken seriously by both sides of the aisle. Otherwise, we may start seeing people arrested who went to a Chinese restaurant, asked for Russian dressing, and are overheard talking about N. Korea. Sarcastic, yes, but we have shown on both the left and right that some folks in charge are not so bright.

We trust these people to enforce the laws and trust them to follow the procedures created to safeguard ordinary American's privacy and security. They violated this.

There is obviously a cover up going on. I find it amazing that our premier investigative bureau could not produce 5 months of texts because of a technical glitch in a cellphone, but the IG had a sizable number of them within hours.

I am all for reducing the powers they have to spy on Americans entirely, because they cannot be trusted. Beware the military industrial complex and the entrenched bureaucracy.

And this was precisely what people arguing about things like the Patriot Act were getting at ... Right now though, this stuff was legal. You can argue it is unethical but as far as illegal ... well ... This only proved that a party in power was willing to use propaganda as an "essential" means to spy on someone they hoped to get dirt on a presidential candidate from. It is sickening but it is what we have ...

Nunes and the Republicans just voted to reauthorize and expand section 702 of FISA which lets the IC capture all of your communications that leave the US (emails and phone calls) without even having to get a warrant.
