I must have missed all those things he has done to make Putin great.
From what I've seen, he's been pretty tough on the Russians, even trying to undercut their natural gas sales to Germany (who, by the way, will be making Putin great).
Your statement was full of propaganda with little to nothing to back it up. That seems to be going around these days.
Adding 7 trillion to deficits is not conservative. I don't care if it's death by a thousand cuts or not.
And you can't pull me into your lesser of two evils frame of reference. I never said Rubio or Kasich were true conservatives. I don't know that I've ever referred to Kasich as a conservative and Rubio's hawkishness leads him to profound fiscal irresponsbility. But, I've said before that I think, policy wise, on balance, most of the candidates would've done almost exactly what Trump has done (trade war buffoonery notwithstanding). You engaged my post talking about methods. It's his methods that will cause lasting damage to true conservatism. The damage COULD be mitigated by the fact that the dems can't seem to find their butt with both hands.

This is nothing new for the dems. What's new is that even left leaning voters now see that what the dems have been selling since the days of LBJ is total BS. Even 8 years of giveaways by Obama didn't win them over enough to get out and vote for Hillary. What's hilarious is that the establishment still can't believe it happened. They don't really believe the Russia crap, because they know deep inside that Russia really wanted more weakness like Hillary and Obama.
Nope. That's wishful thinking from the right's echo chamber. It COULD be true of Trump could effectively put forth an ideology of his own (or one he rented...as he's done in the past) and show WHY the right provides better solutions. You know, make an argument that goes beyond a 6th grade smack off.
Methods matter.

I know a fellow who is doing very well, building housing in Tanzania. I am still trying to get our water treatment system included in their next planned developments. Anyway this guy, and his partners, own a light-weight concrete panel plant and they are using those to build houses and apartments in Tanzania. The Tanzanian guvmint is paying top dollar for 'em too, after all, they are using American taxpayer money to pay for it all. Foreign aid...you understand.
It's happening and you are witnessing it. What's wrong with taking advice and going "off the cuff" as the POTUS? It's working. I know it hurts, but his 6th grade mentality is getting us much more respect worldwide than Obama's and the never Trumpers gained for 8 years. You are right. Methods matter for getting results, not perception of results.
Yes, I think there are two things wrong with Trumps presidency.
1. He needs to be 20 years younger.
2. He is hampered by a two term limitation.

I have heard good things about the GDP growth number (that is certainly something we can quantify). That snowballs into lots of good stuff, some of which is described below.
Looks like NATO members are going to start funding some of their own defense, which is good because the EU has a combined GDP similar to ours, so we should not be footing the bulk of that bill.
It appears that N Korea is starting to dismantle nukes (I am still not buying it since I have lived through so many other episodes like this).
The tax cuts have caused billions of dollars to be repatriated to the US, which leads to economic growth, jobs, and actually more taxes being collected (we have collected a record amount this year after the tax cuts were passed from what I heard). Jobs for Americans will not only provide opportunities for people and increase the tax revenue for the government, they will also give people a sense of purpose that will likely have a positive impact on the drug and alcohol dependence problems we have. That kind of stuff tends to arise from hopelessness. The left's push for a guaranteed living income will create lots of hopelessness.
Reductions in regulations have also caused skilled jobs to come back here. Jobs, as I have already stated, are good.
If we can get our border properly secured and improve our immigration process, we won't have people working in the shadows for less than a living wage. We will still have lots of immigrants, but they will be legally here and able to work for the same salaries US workers get, which will improve their standard of living and add money to the US treasury (which may pave the way for more tax cuts). May be bad for the chamber of commerce and dems hoping to eventually get their votes, but it's good for them and for America.
The closer we get to recognizing that we are endowed by our creator and not by the government the more valuable life will become. Perpetual welfare and government programs kill the human spirit.
I hope he becomes so popular that a second term is all but guaranteed.
Then, I hope an amendment gets passed to stop it from happening, because I cannot think of one administration that had a successful second term. Instead of working for the country and doing what they were hired to do, they work on their "legacy" Makes me sick.
When those term limitations take place, ones for the house (two two year terms) and senate (one six year term) should also go into effect. Include term limits for directors of all the agencies as well.
