I think the game can be boiled down how Fine handles Tech's blitz. Can Tech's defense open holes in NT's O-line so that LBs and DBs can get through to the QB, or will it be the same ol', blitz a Tech DB right into a waiting O-lineman.
It's about blitz schemes, finding what will work and hammering their QB. Fine will throw for 600 if Tech doesn't pressure him.
Win this Saturday, and LA Tech can likely afford to lose another CUSA game this season (say, against FAU) and still hold the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage over UNT. Lose this Saturday, and the shoe is on the other foot.

Admittedly, I haven’t seen North Texas play this year, but arguably, TECH had the two best players on the field LAST week in 45 and 21. They got anybody better than those 2? I know there are 22 on the field at a time, but it helps to have the most dynamic guys. That could be ONE reason for the DAWGS to pull it out.
The main difference for UNT this game will be our defense. It’s a Night & Day kind of difference compared to last year.
Plus our team speed is much better. Not at last year’s FAU level but I think close to it.
I predicted a blowout on Harry’s board strictly for fun, but I fully expect a close & most exciting game.
Is yalls marching band coming to this game?
