Nice deflection. At what point is something that is illegal worth stopping? You consider driving 3mph over the speed limit and illegal border crossing to be about the same? Illegal, but not worth the effort to stop it?

How about this for a solution. You can make illegal immigration "legal." In return, you must be a US citizen to receive ANY federal or state benefits, and if you require healthcare you can either pay up front or return to your home country to receive it. Any children born here are legal citizens of the mothers home country and are not granted US citizenship just because they were born here. If you are caught smuggling drugs across the border, you are exiled to a secret island to fend for yourself. This method would ensure the people that are coming here to work can still do so unencumbered, and that law breakers are dealt with, and the tax payers are off the hook for any money.
