Republicans (not conservatives) want pre-x covered. Only people who understand how insurance works don't want pre-x covered.

65+% of Americans want pre-existing coverage...including Donald Trump.

Democracy can be problematic I suppose.

I think the moral argument is going to be a VERY difficult one for the GOP to make...in fact, in embracing Trump, the GOP has ceded that ground.

I'm not sure where those stats come from, but I don't suppose it is too far fetched that 65% of Americans either want more free stuff or they don't understand the law of large numbers.

I wonder how those 65% would feel about people not carrying homeowners insurance, but expecting to get paid after a fire or tornado destroyed their home.

Edit: Trump wants it because his handlers told him to want it, not because it is good business.

Like I said, Democracy can be problematic...particularly when the powerbrokers would rather propagandize than educate and put forth a coherent philosophy. It's not like the GOP hasn't had PLENTY of time to put forth a satisfying solution...they'd rather get reelected. I wonder why our borderline genius in chief supports it. Does he understand the law of large numbers? That's a word (or a series of words) and, as we all know, he has the best words.

Agreed! The GOP has given up much ground. But pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-republic and capitalism, pro-economic growth via less taxes, anti-class warfare, protect our borders, pro-military, and being pro-America and "America first" they haven't given ground on.

Trump did not make Business decision when he endorsed it. He made A political decision. Is there any politician in Washington who did not endorse it?

Makes perfect sense if you support Medicare for all.

Not trying to, just saying there is nothing surprising about Trump supporting it. Two top sales points of Obamacare were no pre-x and coverage to age 26. Both drove prices up. Both tugged on emotions, which means anybody seeking votes would be for it.

Democracy can be very problematic. But fortunately, we live in a republic. And unfortunately, some, called "liberals," don't like this being a republic and try to subvert it.

I'll take the what we've had the past two years over what we had the previous 30.
