I hope our team doesn't go in there with a guilty conscience and lose the game on purpose. That emotional stuff is girl stuff. It happened almost 50 years ago, and there's been plenty of time to heal. At this point, you can't let it be a steering wheel in your back and let it drive you around. This game means too much to let someone else's past make you feel guilty.

Some people also think it's crass and disrespectful to use a 50-year old plane crash and the deaths of 75 people to motivate bunch of college kids to play a football game in 2019.

I don't think using a tragic event to help young men discover how precious and temporary life is to be crass or disrespectful. I also don't think a living memory nor tradition to pay respect to and remember them to be crass or disrespectful either. I think openly mocking traditions that are intended in reverance to these ideas to be both crass and disrespectful.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think it's disrespectful to use a human tragedy like that in an attempt to win a football game. But that's just me. It's a tradition that started in 2013, and I realize nobody needs my permission, so have at it.

Holtz gave Roy Lang info first? That's just silly. I did notice that he was a no show on Fletch's show. Not sure of the circumstances with that. It's really not important enough to me to grind out and I'm a fan.
