Bill Clark and Doc Holliday were especially impressed by him.
Kubik is just down the road...
Oh yeah....THAT's the guy I recognize from the Indy Bowl that I re-watched last night. Mr. CUSA POY made TEN (10) HORRIBLE throws against Miami, including an INT that was almost returned for a touchdown, and another "Pic 6" pass that Miami simply dropped. Both passes were potential game changers. The one that was actually intercepted came after Tech had already moved to Miami's 20-yd line, and was a blown red zone opportunity. J'Mar almost created a 14-point swing in the score on that play. Instead of us potentially going ahead 14-0 (or at least 10-0) over Miami, the Canes almost tied us 7-7 on the long runback.
With a decent QB playing against Miami, we win that game by 25 to 30 points. We had open receivers in the right places. J'Mar finished the game 13 of 28 (46%), for 163 yds, 1 TD & 1 INT. Not stellar numbers.
We play at VANDY next year.......feel even better about that one now!!!!!!
More anxious to see the replacement than the loss of Fitch. I think whomever else comes in can design more running plays than the simple Read Option. If they are allowed to operate that way.
Fitch's deal is supposedly close to being finalized. I'd love to have Kubik back. I thought I read somewhere that he applied for a previous opening and wasn't thrilled with not getting the job. Did I make that up?
