That seems plausible, since that is consistent with how these things go. But to the extent you are relying on Chinese government reports - I wouldn’t rely on it. If it is also consistent with Chinese social media chatter, then it may be more reliable.
Wow.. ban travel from Europe for next 30 days. As an airline employee that's gonna hurt, but I understand it. I had a member of my team who was leaving tomorrow to travel to Nigeria via EU.. He called tonight to say he is not going.
It sounds like this goes beyond travel and impacts all trade, too.
Dow futures down 1000 as I type this. How many points will the market lost tomorrow? Another -2000 day?

True, as they have different opinions and are allowed to present and argue them in public. The GOP eats its own. On the other side, the sheeple Dems fear going against Pelosi, Schumer and Obama and in the past the Klinton death mob. They cheer the most corrupt and devious of their ideology not matter how hypocritical and immoral. And their lack of effective and financially sound government at all levels shows.
Here is what he said in the speech:

Anything coming from Europe to the United States is what we are discussing. These restrictions will also not apply to the United Kingdom.“
Maybe he just inadvertently added the “only”.
His speech was excellent! Let’s watch and listen to the anti-American Democrats tomorrow as they will still be playing TDS politics. I truly believe the Dems would love seeing 100,000 Americans die of this Chicon flu and the economy tank just to have their evil power in the DC swamp.
InThat also makes every thing he has said about this virus up until last night a complete failure of leadership. Sunshine pumping when America needed a leader demonstrating an understanding of how serious this issue is.
Futures have limited down this morning, so we will see how many circuit breakers we get today.
There seems to be some chaos and discoordination in the federal and local responses to individual cases, which is clearly being caused by inconsistency in the message from the top.
What we have seen is responsible private actors and state and local governments leading the efforts to mitigate the spread of this disease. A complete failure of leadership at the top.
And one more point about the speech. The comment that he made that “health insurers have agreed to wave copays for testing and treatment” is also a bit inconsistent with what was said two days ago when the insurance execs were in Washington. They agree to wave copays for testing - not treatment.

Fortunately we have a great president, a true leader, in charge, not a Dem who would just eff it up, like obummer did with the Swine Flu outbreak. Don't need 300,000 Americans hospitalized and 13,000 dead Americans, like obummer caused. AND!! keep in mind everyone is saying Covid-19 is 10X more deadly and much easier spread than any general flu, like the 2009-2010 Swine Flu was. So, in theory, if 130,000 Americans die from this Trump would equal obummer's performance. That's where the bar is set because, after all, obummer was a great POTUS! Er, right Goosey, johnny, Champ, Jubru...?
Goosey loves himself some obummer and that competent leadership!
