I think the fact that we did nothing beyond stop travel from China for many weeks, proved that we wouldn’t have acted with more information (and the fact of the matter is that Trump had access to greater info from our intel community - he just chose not to take it very seriously beyond taking a step of restricting travel which appealed to his crude reasoning ability).
