There is a difference between Wouldn’t and Won’t. One is meant as speculative, and the other is definitive. You know which is which. The president says some stupid stuff, but it only makes it worse when a rather bland comment gets turned on it’s head by left leaning interpreters(pseudo-journalists).

He led with speculation, so that is how I read his whole comment.

You only seem to have a problem with people judging those you agree with. He said it in an interview with Cal Thomas (not an unfriendly to him). He says he "will be asking for forgiveness, but hopefully I won't have to be asking for much forgiveness." He never challenges Thomas's set up "You have said you never felt the need to ask for God's forgiveness..."

I didn't judge anybody. I'm taking him at his word (maybe a mistake). You've never judged a democrat I'm sure!

And, don't say I never liked Trump. I like him a lot in jobs he's qualified for. No, he shouldn't be president. And, no, I wouldn't trust him in real estate. But, he's a great reality TV star. I like him a lot in that setting.

Speculation and expectation are about the same thing. Hope that has no basis in reality is an entirely different thing. I am not sure Trump knows the difference and that is scary in his role.

I don't judge anybody's salvation like you seem to do when it fits your agenda with Trump.

    My agenda?

Hahaha. Do his words comport with what you've been taught is a sign of saving faith? Does his claim that he doesn't have much to ask for forgiveness for jive with your understanding of the Gospel?

When you call Hillary an evil lesbian bitch, you're not questioning her salvation and Methodist faith?

    Interesting.

What you posted was an interview with Cal Thomas and a typical Trump answer. That answer does not rule him out for salvation, but according to you it does.

My 100% accurate description of Clinton as an evil lesbian bitch is who she is. I never questioned her salvation like you have done many times with Trump. Being Methodist has nothing to do with anything.

My sin is not a sin of judgement since I have not questioned anything regarding her faith. She would have to make a public statement regarding her faith for me to denounce or question her faith. I don't recall her EVER making such a remark, but if she did I'd leave it alone just as I have not questioned the faith of that evil, lying, bitch, Nancy Pelosi.

    Hahahaha...

Okay. Whatever you need to tell yourself.

I don't know Trump and I won't speak for his Salvation. I CAN say without judging that his words are not compatible with the Gospel (a question you apparently don't want to answer). And, you know it.

If he believes what he says, he's not a follower of Christ. Right?

I think t's important to distinguish between "judging" someone's worth or value as a human being and "judging" who we should follow or imitate. We often use the same word, but they're not the same act.

Having said that ... Scripture indicates that a saved individual will produce fruits of the Spirit. And these can often be outward, visible evidence (not proof, but evidence) of a person's salvation.

I think we can agree on this much, yes?

I love his faith in the Lord and attitude in general! And he was right about America first and foremost! Such a great leader!!!

And those without that faith are afraid of their own mortality.

I certainly wouldn't model my faith after Trump and it's certainly not a humble answer to say you don't have much to ask forgiveness for. That said, I won't question his faith because I don't know what is in his heart. It is his schtick to be arrogant maybe it's an act ( I suspect the media would pounce on any admission of fault from Trump anyway).
Johnny, what words exactly are you saying aren't compatible with the gospel? The "hopefully I won't have to ask for too much forgiveness". Seems like that should be everyone's goal.

Cal Thomas quoted him as saying he never felt the need to ask for forgiveness. Trump doesn’t dispute that and only slightly modified his original statement.

In another interview I watched him say he’d never asked God for forgiveness (I assume that’s what Thomas was referring to).

You can’t come to Christ without a clear knowledge of the seriousness of your sin. Public Trump has never acknowledged anything close to biblical repentance.

Yeah, that's pretty hard to reconcile when we can say with relative certainty that he at least has committed adultery. I suspect in his business endeavors he probably has quite a few more sins to add on in addition to lies etc. You would think he could find something in there to ask forgiveness for.
