Back to the matter at hand. I don't think it is a good idea to allow the food supply chain to completely tank. Do any of you? No, seriously, is it okay for grocery stores to run out of meat? If you think so, then would it be okay to allow stores to run out of produce: fruits and vegetables? Breads? How about canned goods? So, while I understand his reasoning, I don't like the Federal government ordering private businesses/citizens. Every effort should have been expended to work WITH these companies and their employees to get them back to work.

Of course, all that said. We all know what would happen had Trump not done anything. Grocery stores would run low on food at first, and there would be fights in the aisles. Then rationing, then complete depletion. You think the fear of running out of toilet paper is bad, just wait to see the panic of "NO FOOD!" Then people would be dying in the streets! The lamestream media would show video clips of Venezuela while labeling it some American city. Goosey would be posting, "Orange Man Bad!" he should have seen this coming and invoked the DPA to stop this from happening. Biden would claim "I'd have 20 emergency food processing plants already set up and ready in every state!"

    The beat goes on...
The packers shut down because they were having outbreaks and people were dying that worked there.

Democrats are pushing hard for mail in ballots and even "day of" voter registration. Nancy is going to put this in as part of the next stimulus package.. Trump and Senate need to scrap it. This has nothing to do with a virus..

I was responding to techman05’s argument that vegetarians are weak. Try to keep up.

According to MSM, "Thousands" had the China virus in 20 plants. So that would mean at least 2000 were sick in 20 plants. Avg of 100 per plant were sick? I call more BS on this MSM information.

Nah, just proof of identity. How could a globalist who thinks tracking chips are okay be worried about proof of identity?

I am not sure where you get your weird news. Sometimes I suspect that you are just misunderstanding what you read and hear.

Google and Apple have come up with a solution that doesn’t require tracking geographic location.

AP reported “thosands of plant workers are sick”. Makes for good drama I suppose. What other weird news are you speaking of? I Did not think you would mind giving up your rights and being tracked by big brother.

As I suspected, you misunderstood what you read:

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, which represents 1.3 million food and retail workers, said Tuesday that 20 food-processing and meatpacking union workers in the U.S. have died of the virus. An estimated 6,500 are sick or have been exposed while working near someone who tested positive, the union says.

Trump would put other worker’s lives at risk just to protect his farmer voting block.

Which ones are vegetarian? Vegan is not vegetarian.

I stopped reading your elite athlete list after the very "beefy" tennis player, the race car driver, the runner, and the soccer player.

Vegans are vegetarians that also don’t eat animal derived products (like milk and its derivatives).

Football players are doing it too.

    Re: Presidential Election 2020

BTW, here's a quote from ABC that is typical of an MSM misleading "fact" taken from another unreliable source (a union). I'm sure this is where the AP reporter I heard this morning got her misinformation. The story actually said 20 plants were involved, not 20 deaths...

According to a press release Tuesday from the United Foods and Commercial Workers International Union, at least 20 meatpacking and food processing workers have been confirmed dead and "at least 5,000 meatpacking workers and 1,500 food processing workers have been directly impacted by the virus."
