Much like Texas, the folks in Tennessee seem to know pretty well what they are doing. They've only had a total of 237 deaths to date in the state of Tennessee, due to Coronavirus. Furthermore, Williamson County, TN, has only had 10 deaths attributed to Coronavirus. Not bad for a county with a total population of approximately 240,000 people. Williamson County's 434 total Coronavirus cases represents only .018% of its population. That's less than 2 TENTHS of 1 percent.

....And yet, every single video that lied about the 2016 Trump Campaign being tied to "Russian collusion" is still out there on the Facebook, Youtube and Titter web sites, just to name a few. The Video Nazi's have never bothered to remove them, even though we now KNOW FOR A FACT that those were lies being told to the American public. The Intel docs released last week told us so.

But here's the deal: I really don't have a problem with those anti-Trump videos being on line, as long as the Video Nazi's aren't removing the good guys videos as well (such as what happened this past week.) Both sides should be allowed to have their videos on these web sites. That's the way it should be. I'm a big boy, and I can decide for myself which ones to believe, and which ones's are bullshit. I don't need --and America doesn't need-- these tech companies and their 22-yr old idiot employees censoring the material for us.

Here's an article regarding the same place (I believe) in the Dallas Paper.

    https://www.dallasnews.com/business/...avirus-crisis/

Basically indicating that they've been making masks for US hospitals only since end of February. I couldn't open the WP link so I don't know exactly what it says.

It's funny, I've replied to a few posts on Fox's website and the post regarding this one is the only one I can see that they've taken off.

    Re: Covid - 19

    And the plot thickens.

Report: Xi Jinping Asked W.H.O. Chief Tedros to Delay Pandemic Warning

The German newspaper Der Spiegel published a report this weekend stating German intelligence officials believed Chinese dictator Xi Jinping personally asked the head of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, to delay key warnings about the Chinese coronavirus.

Xi allegedly urged Tedros not to declare the outbreak a pandemic yet at the time of the phone conversation, which the German newspaper said had occurred on January 21. He also reportedly encouraged Tedros not to share information showing that the virus could spread from person to person.

The conversation allegedly occurred a week before Tedros personally visited Beijing – despite mounting concerns that international travel may hinder the fight against the outbreak that at the time was largely contained in China – and discussed the newly identified virus with Xi.

Tedros declared the Chinese coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11, the day after Xi Jinping visited Wuhan, the origin city of the virus, and declared that China had beaten its local outbreak. Xi avoided Wuhan until then despite reports indicating cases of a contagious respiratory disease spreading in the central Chinese city as early as November 2019.

The W.H.O. denied the conversation in the Der Spiegel report in a series of tweets.

Same company. It said that he could unmothball several more production lines if the government wanted him to make an additional 1.7*million N95 masks a week.

Why depend on the guvmint to "want him" to make more N95 masks? Is there demand for more N95 masks? If yes, then how much demand, and then gear up and make them! Oh, no demand or not much...then don't gear up to make more.

This registers really high on the Duh! meter. And, no the Duh! is not aimed at you Goosey (this time), I think you understand basic supply & demand.

I’d say he didn’t wait but definitely looked at it to see if he could get someone else to pay for the reopening. Below are a few articles and the numbers just don’t seem to add up. I’m not familiar enough with the process to determine where the differences might lie.

Increased production from 250,000 to 1 million, Note the article says that’s per day.

    https://www.wired.com/story/surreal-...st-mask-maker/

“That’s led to a lot of hard decisions for manufacturers. Faced with hundreds of millions of orders a day, and a limited number of masks, Prestige Ameritech decided to sell only to hospitals, rather than the general public, and has prioritized working with medical centers that will sign five-year contracts, to reduce the likelihood that the company will have to lay off all its new employees once the pandemic subsides.”

CBS news story 2/26/20 – maybe where WaP got their’s?
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/coronav...ritech-demand/

    Story from VOX:
    https://www.vox.com/covid-19-coronav...tige-ameritech
Which I assume is basically the same thing WaP says.

His pitch: Provide the funds needed to dust off four dormant manufacturing lines, and his firm would produce 1.7 million N95 masks every week.
Anything strange about these numbers? In first article they’ve increased production from 250K to 1 million masks a day but indicated they could make 1.7 million masks per week for US if provide funds for dusting off four dormant lines?

Well, there ya go. I am making the following proposal that, if not accepted, will force me to become a whistleblower.

If the government will build me a factory and guarantee that they will buy any mask I make at a price that guarantees me a profit, I will make as many of these things as they want.

Just need to dust off that piece of ground where the concrete foundation will be poured and the beams will be erected at their expense.

I believe the GM Guide plant east of Monroe is either just a slab or dirt. I'm better certain all the structures have been eliminated.

President Nancy Pelosi. That’s what happens if Trump and Pence die from COVID. Maybe that is what finally got them to make their staff start to wear masks.

Interesting. So, are we to assume that the only people who wear the silly masks are people who have already shown symptoms of COVID-19?

Medical professionals have cautioned that there’s no evidence that the typical surgical mask protects against catching an infection, although they’re useful in preventing infected individuals from spreading certain illnesses when worn.

“Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

.....and don't forget to include my big corner office, complete with a hot tub and a bar. I mean....as long as the guvmint is paying....

The problem is, there's a very limited long term market for these silly masks. When these masks are no longer fashionable --about 90 days from now-- their value is going to drop like a hot potato. No manufacturer wants to be left sitting on a ton of inventory and invested in the equipment required to make these things.

Maybe we could take 'em to a "Hula Hoop" manufacturer. Those guys know what it's like to be left holding the bag.
