I do hate that the Republican Party no longer even gives lip service the things conservatives care about...the debt/deficit, liberty, the constitution. Trump is as big a statist as any democrat since FDR (which many knew before he was elected) and nobody on the right cares as long as you get to “own the libs.”

There are limits to Free Speech. You've heard 'em before ....A person can't yell "Fire" in a crowded theater, etc...blah, blah, blah. One could certainly see how riots would be included in these limitations. You've heard it a million times; you LOSE your free speech amendment rights the minute you pick up that rock and toss it, or that molotov cocktail and throw it, etc.... It's all over.

Watch the video - there was no real warning. If a warning was given, it wasn’t done in any manner that could inform the protestors that it was time to move. The curfew was still half an hour away.
Your video only looks at one very small sliver of the "protest". I'm sure it never occurred to you that that area was staged, heavily patrolled by protester management, videoed and then the video leaked to say "see, we didn't do nuthin!" LOL!

As for the park incident, they were asked to move back and didn't. So the Park Police did the same thing to them that they would have done to me if I had ignored their commands.

I was watching it play out live and have watched the video from the crowd that starts 30 minutes before the assault - no warning occurred. Anyone can see this fact for themselves. If they didn’t deliver the warning in a way that the crowd could know they had been warned, it is not a warning.
Well, now I'm repeating myself, which often happens when I'm talking to someone who doesn't listen.
Specific to the incident, the Park Police treated the Protesters exactly how they would have treated me. They asked them to move back, the Protesters refused, so they pushed 'em back. That's the way it works, so quit your whining.
BTW, I'm not equivocating. These protests are dumb. Really dumb. Especially in the middle of a COVID outbreak, where many states still have a mandatory "stay at home" order in place. Here's one great example: the Nashville Mayor --a typical liberal-- had a "stay at home" order in place last weekend, but used his social media sites to invite thousands of citizens to the protests on Friday and Saturday last weekend in downtown Nashville. The following Monday morning, he was back to enforcing the "Stay at Home" order, his "closed business" policy and his "no meetings of over 25 people". Do you not see the arrogant hypocrisy in that?
So, according to this clown, you can't open up your business or go to church, but you can go downtown to Broadway and Protest with 100,000 people.
Yes, these Protests are silly. And they will be costly. People are marching, and yet there's no enemy. I've literally heard NOBODY in America say they are glad George Floyd "got what he deserved". To the contrary, from what I can see, everyone has been very remorseful about what happened to Floyd.
Usually when there's a protest, there are two sides, and there are leaders to appeal to. But not this time. Everybody seems to be on the same side, which is a big problem for Protesters. But the Protesters do seem to target the police because they are the publics last line of defense.
This is a leaderless event. There are no speakers at these events....no one to lead the crowd, and no one to formulate a statement of change request. There certainly aren't any notable speakers or activists. There are no Abby Hoffmans, Tom Hayden's, Martin Luther King's or Black Panthers to advocate for a specific "ask" or to deliver a specific message. It's just a bunch of young people --mostly white people behind masks-- who already have their fuse lit, and they are just waiting for an excuse to do something foolish. Nobody is stating what their demands are. As far as I can tell, nobody has even written down a list of demands. And if they did make a list of demands, who do they submit them to?
As far as I can tell, it's just a bunch of white people feeling very guilty about George Floyd's death, which is of course tragic. And they just don't know what to do. But, IMO, somebody needs to formulate an action item PLAN for America, or just go home.
They shouldn’t attack you either HD!
