They attack the body differently, for one reason. This 2019 China virus pandemic is a SARS strain. If the Chicoms had cooperated, and if the WHO hadn't lied and tried to cover-up for the Chicoms, the world would have learned a lot sooner we were dealing with a SARS virus. By the time that was confirmed it had already spread to every continent and gotten a foothold across the world. And, as is the nature of viruses, this particular strain has its own unique characteristics. There is no and NEVER WILL BE a one-size-fits-all prescription to battle any virus, and especially not a SARS strain.
Much like 9/11 forever changed the world we live in...think airport security...so too has the 2019 China virus changed our lives. I foresee quicker and more draconian reactions to news of possible virus outbreaks across the world. And, unfortunately, here in the US as well.
A friend just posted that his father-in-law, age 78, has passed away and he says it is China virus caused, or related. He's one of those "hide under the covers"-types who posts screaming rebukes on social media about WEAR YOUR MASKS! you selfish pieces of shit! I just responded to his post "Sorry for your loss," and won't reply to the rest of his libtard rants...his father-in-law's passing is Trump's fault, apparently. You all act as if you catch COVID that it is a death sentence. In the US the survival rate is at least 95% and that is for all persons regardless of age.
Based upon John Hopkins website the mortality rate for Covid in US is 2.8% per 100,000 people. Based upon CDC website the mortality rate for Influenza is 6.5% per 100,000 people. Seems like catching the flu is more lethal than Covid

That doesn't make sense. First, why cite a % per 100,000 persons? It would be the same % for any number of people. For instance, the 2009-10 Mexican Flu infected 61 million Americans, 6.5% of that is right at 4 million. The revised death totals for that epidemic is 18,500...that's a lot less than 4 million.

And the Johns Hopkins death rate for COVID is not really a case fatality rate or infection fatality rate. It is closer to the former, but still...
