Operation Warp Speed, the federal effort to rush a vaccine to market, has promised Pfizer $1.95 billion to deliver 100 million doses to the federal government, which will be given to Americans free of charge. But Dr. Jansen sought to distance the company from Operation Warp Speed and presidential politics, noting that the company — unlike the other vaccine front-runners — did not take any federal money to help pay for research and development.

Never said they took federal money. I no longer have that newsletter as it is just part of the pile of mail I get daily, including quarterly reports from various funds, etc...but I did read it and they stated it was the removal of federal roadblocks, from the FDA especially, they were excited about. This was several months ago. In that newsletter Pfizer spoke of other drugs they are working on, but the highlight was the China virus vaccine.
And of course Dr. Jansen "sought to distance the company" from a Trump program because it is now politically expedient to do so. Surely, you are not really this gullible? Please tell me you're not.
Anyway, in keeping with my personal outlook on life, this is great news for America and the free world. I hope and pray there is a working vaccine soon. And the stock market is surging...approaching 30,000 on the DOW, that is also good for me! Bottom line, I look after my own interests first. Always...

Okay, I'll give you that one...on the surface. But I was aware of Pfizer's position from months ago and it is based on that I call BS on anything they say now.
Now Pfizer is saying they will apply via Operation Warp Speed for the FDA fast-track path to the market. And! Pfizer will effectively sell 100 million doses thru Operation Warp Speed for $1.9 billion to the Federal government. I think the exact terminology being used is "make available." In exchange for monetary compensation...sounds like selling to me.
