Which strict restrictions? You like to speak loosely about things you don’t really understand.

Europe (varying across countries) lifted lots of restrictions and COVID took off.

We are experiencing the same phenomenon. We are setting new records on daily cases and hospitalization records are coming.

In NELA the overwhelming majority of those wearing masks improperly are black.

If true, it is probably because the leaders of our country haven’t been doing a good job on pushing out a message about proper mask wearing.

The one exception is Republicans, among whom a majority say they wear masks infrequently -- either sometimes (18%), rarely (9%) or never (27%).

Whatever...it's bound to be bad orange man's fault that most blacks wear their masks below their nose. If you would get out of your comfort zone you'd see it as well. Not that you'd admit it, but it is there for all to see.

Sounds like your experience is the exception. Black folks around here do a great job wearing their masks.

Sure all of our masks have to be adjusted from time to time, particularly after talking, but no one is perfect all of the time, nor do you have to be for masks to make a big impact.

No, I live and see real life every day. It is the norm for the culture. I see whites doing it as well, but majority of blacks wear masks below their noses. You can see it on the news every night as well.

How will you, Harris, and Biden enforce the mandate?

Today's move toward communism brought to you by Deutsche Bank..

    quote:

A research team at Deutsche Bank proposed that people pay a 5% tax for the “privilege” of working from home, if they continue to do so after the pandemic, as this could subsidize income lost by lower-earners due to the coronavirus crisis.
    quote:

Working from home meant that many people were saving on everyday costs such as travel, lunch, clothes and cleaning, as well as possibly spending less on socializing. However, the report also said it meant remote workers were “contributing less to the infrastructure of the economy whilst still receiving its benefits.” Templeman said remote workers should pay a levy post-pandemic “in order to smooth the transition process for those who have suddenly been displaced” by the coronavirus crisis.

What's funny is that the "low income" people will never see a penny of this tax..

Moderna’s vaccine results also look good. Looks promising that 20 million people could get vaccinated this year.

Yep, good news, and another big thanks to President Trump.

Trump "partnered with" Moderna back on January 13th...back when Biden/Pelosi/Governor Coma/Mayor Deblahs-e-o were still telling people to congregate in tight gatherings on subways and in Chinatown, and they were criticizing Trump for his travel bans.

Back when Trump thought it was a hoax?

Fauci’s NIH/NIAID selected Moderna’s mRNA sequence to run a Phase 1 clinical trial then. The manufacture of that batch was funded by CEPI, an organization founded and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.

So huge credit to Fauci and Gates who have believe this work is important.

    Re: Covid - 19

This type of research/vaccine creation has never been tried, nor ever approved by the FDA, before. It was Trump's Operation Market Warp Speed that cleared the regulatory obstacles. Yes, the FDA is still "in control" of the checks and balances but they are operating under a new mandate of being as quick as possible. Thanks to President Trump. And Moderna did accept $2.5 billion in federal funding to expedite this success.

Now, that said, YES it is the scientists at Moderna and those working with them who deserve the credit. Just ANOTHER EXAMPLE of how effective the private sector can be when the government is removed (mostly) from the equation.

Johnson & Johnson is expected to have a one-shot vaccine ready by the spring. So far, Pfizer's and Moderna's are a two-shot dosage.

Most importantly, I read it can be stored at normal refrigerator temps...that's huge.

I'll take it if my doc recommends it. I think it'll be available first of the year for those at high risk. Widely available in April or so.
