Speaking of Steve Winwood, did y'all know who is singing harmony/BGV on each of these (without looking)? It's nice to have friends.

It's funny how there will be a song or artist (or book or author) that you don't necessarily think about all that often and then all of a sudden it seems like you see/hear about them all over the place for a spell. Randomly heard some people on a podcast talking about this today (which was completely unrelated to their topic at hand, for that matter). Anyway, bgv and I assume Hammond by Mr. Winwood here.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The Mariah Carey version is ok, in a kind of showy vocal sense, but this one is hit-or-miss. I think I like some parts.

Those ladies should call themselves "the Chipmunks", because they have that Chipmunk twang that gets old really fast. The drummer looked like he would rather be anywhere than there.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed. I hint at this every time I post one of their videos, but for King and Country has a Ruston native in their backing band. I don't know him, but I gather he does quite a bit of work around Nashville in addition to working with this band. My wife knows the family. My daughter and wife saw them last year around this time at UTA and loved it, including their version of this song. Probably my kids' favorite band.
