Did they go out for ice cream at halftime?
hey remember when lsu was being investigated by the fbi
weird how nothing ever came of that
Lofton's banged up. He's walking around so I guess that's encouraging.
Down by 30. InexCUSAble.
we competed i guess
Whatever we worked on in the offseason obviously had nothing to do with shooting. Especially FTs.
None of these guys has a clue on how to properly use the glass close to the basket. Apparently we don't have any coaches that do either.
I will say that Konkol, for all his mllquetoastery, is not a total Holtz. But there is no excuse for losing this badly to any team in the country. We ought to be able to play them to within 10-15.
But I guess lil ole Tech can't be expected to compete with mighty lsoo. At least, our coaches believe that anyway.
31 point loss. We have a few things to work on.
Junior was the only bright spot.
All on our shooting and turnovers. Defense wasn’t horrible considering we held them under average.
Offense was putrid.
Lofton was a stud.
It was 32 years ago --in 1988-- that Randy White and LA Tech beat LSU and it's star shooting guard Chris Jackson (later Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf) 111-109 in OT, in Baton Rouge. Jackson was a true freshman playing in only his 3rd game for LSU, and he scored 48 points. Randy White scored 35 for Tech.

Yes, LA Tech used to compete with pretty much anyone on the hardwood. What the heck happened to those days? Seems like now we have trouble staying within 20 points of some of the bigger name schools.
I was living in Slidell at the time and had a final, my entire grade, the next morning in New Orleans. My beautiful bride drove me to Baton Rouge and back while I studied, by flashlight, on the way home. Stayed up all night and it was worth every minute. One of the highlights of my fandom.
