It’s currently the leading cause of death in the USA. And those attributed death numbers will be revised up over the next 12-18 months. It’s highly contagious. This is definitely something that requires government intervention because those who are being careful can be contaminated by those who are not. It’s just like requiring kids to have vaccines before they go to school. Government action in this case maximizes freedom.
I only agree with you that’s it highly contagious. My 83 year old parents had it this fall as did my special needs son which many of you have met (just finished his 14 days after testing positive with symptoms). Yes it’s a tough one but so was the Spanish flu, Asian Flu, Hong Kong Flu, Russian flu, H1N1 (swine) flu and others.
Yet some on here were still touting the panic talking point of 2.5 million deaths from the China flu by Christmas. And yet they still wouldn’t call it the China flu because it was an election year. Of course the commie media and some on here falsely accused Trump due to the Nov. 3rd election cycle as well. And pure politics by Pelosi, Schumer, Biden and Harris to withhold relief this fall while they slammed Trump and team’s super quick vaccination success. This flu has been bad enough without the political BS and yes overblown comparably to an extent. And yes China has still not admitted their role in this nor apologized. Hum....

The government and state media are pushing propaganda and twisting health experts' remarks to obscure and deflect the origins of the COVID-19 virus that past intelligence has pointed back to a Wuhan virology lab.
In fact, China is now claiming the lab merely discovered COVID-19 and did not originate it, but northern Italy or India might have, The New York Times reported.
Using out of context quotes from a German scientist, China news sites are declaring "China is innocent!" and "Not Wuhan," according to the report.
