UAB wins the west by virtue of their win over UTSA...months ago! Gee, now, who was it way back then who posted UTSA vs. UAB is for the title, the winner of the game WILL be west division champions. And, man oh man! did I ever catch grief from certain Tech fans for that. Sorry for being right.

Another result of poor head coaching.

Leaving Kissimmee yesterday we stopped to get breakfast. I saw three fellows, a dad and his two sons, all decked out in obnoxiously loud orange and green, sure 'enough, Miami Canes' fans. I was sporting my Tech gear. One of the younger fellows nods toward me, says, "Dad, there's a Louisiana Tech fan." The dad glares at me, says to his son, "I don't want no part of them." hah!

Last night we both got our butts handed to us. They got steamrolled by UNC 62-26 giving up a record 778 yards. Makes Notre Dame's defensive effort against the Heels look even better. But yesterday morning, prior to the beatdowns we were about to suffer, it was a bit satisfying to get that response from a Canes' fan. (and we want no part of a rematch with the Canes this year anyway)

The NC beatdown at Miami was epic. Two NC RBs went for 308 on only 24 carries and 236 on just 23 carries. Hard to lose when a team averages over 10 yards per rush. TCU only averaged 9.5 per rush on us.

Neither Notre Dame nor Ohio State deserve to be, should be, in the CFP.

I expect Bama to beat UF, so I think the four teams should be:

    1) Bama vs. 4) Cincy
    2) Clemson vs. 3) Texas A&M

Won't happen that way, but that's my opinion.

LOL at Notre Dumb. Little different when you have to play the Clemson 1st string.

Ole Miss puts up 48 points despite their QB having 6 TO’s. An interesting stat mentioned during the game - Ole Miss has gone for it on 4th down more than they’ve punted/kicked FG’s combined this year.

It is going to be interesting to see what the committee does with ND and A&M. Everyone forgets A&M's loss was also a blow-out to a top ranked team. 52-24 at Alabama. At least ND played for a championship. Jimbo is doing his campaigning again.

Clemson was missing exactly THREE starters when they played earlier this year. They had 19 of 22 starters...that is pretty much Clemson's 1st string. That wasn't the issue, but I can see there is no point trying to explain it to you. ND haters remind me of Trump haters. Irrational.

I am definitely a ND hater because they almost always are ranked higher than they deserve. This year I think they are legit and deserve one of the 4 spots. Clemson had a good defensive game plan and executed it almost to perfection. Now ND will get to play Bama. I think that game could be closer than people think but I see Alabama winning.

    Here is my prediction:

    1. Alabama
    2. Clemson
    3. Ohio St
    4. Notre Dumb

What do you think the score would’ve been yesterday had ND’s starting QB and key defensive player had been out. They would’ve gotten their asses whipped. Oh wait, that happened anyway.

That is my prediction as well. The only other possibility I could see is A&M instead of Notre Dame. They both have a blow-out loss. Although ND wouldn't have a loss, if like A&M they didn't play in a championship game. Also Notre Dame has a better win.

You nailed it in this post, it was coaching/game planning that was the difference, not cuz Clemson had three starters out the first time.

I could easily live with that arrangement.
