I don't doubt for a moment McCain despised Trump, and I posted that. McCain was nothing more than a RINO and was a self-serving politician. I acknowledged he was partly inspired by hatred of Trump, but he also was a pragmatist and had said several times in interviews there needed to be a replacement plan ready to go. But...he was lying, right?
Before forming fence riding decisions, research the vote and what it actually meant. I was not about a total repeal of Obamacare. Therefore there was no reason for an alternative to be in place at that point. For that matter, the alternative was there, but the RINOs and Dems didn't think it was enough. That plan included the pre-x clause, but not abortions.

But, yeah, John McCain chit all over his legacy. He won a few points from the libtards for his vote, but they never liked him and they have all moved on too. McCain did have some admirers and supporters from the moderate and right-leaning center but even many of those washed their hands of him. He has no "friends" in the political fandom world.

Plus Trump was trying to take away the swamps illegal foreign personal money machines away. The Clintons, Pelosi and husband, Biden family etc..all made huge fortunes off foreign countries ill-gotten kickback gaming of the system.

Trump campaign takes fight over Penn. election, ballot laws to Supreme Court
President Trump’s campaign team on Sunday filed an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court asking it to reverse several cases by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to change the state’s mail balloting law before and after the 2020 presidential election.
The president’s campaign alleged in a statement that the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court’s changing of the law was a violation of Article II of the U.S. Constitution and Bush v. Gore.

The legislation included a repeal of a one-year defunding of Planned Parenthood, a provision giving states more flexibility to opt out of insurance regulations. It also would have increased the amount that people can contribute to Health Savings Accounts.
I'm having a flashback...yep, there was a "far right" (as it was called) plan on the table. It had no chance of getting support from the baby-killing Left, and many Repubs in purple districts (states) feared for their reelections, so it was DOA. The Left wanted no part of ending obummercare and were not, and were never gonna be in a compromising/negotiating mood. Even the Repubs couldn't agree on one, final plan.
They all agreed on where to start other than the three I listed. None of those three are/were truly republicans.
One final plan was never going to happen until the end. As you know, the GOP started with their main demands. The three haters would not even allow the negotiations to begin.
No narrative, and I’m not talking about ancient history.
